I knew a long time ago when I was growing up in Leicester that I wanted to earn my living drawing. Since graduating from Glasgow School of Art I have been working freelance in London on animated films, commercials and illustration work.
I explore a variety of subject matter through self initiated and commercial work, deriving inspiration from new places, brilliant people, bold patterns, structures and subtle details in everyday life.
All the projects I work on have a paper based handmade origin. I like to draw with a tipp-ex mouse, children's blow pens, cutting stencils and printing on my Japanese print gocco screen-print kit. I find this playful approach and embracing collaboration brings about fresh ways to visualise ideas.
